VPN is a much better option. iOS Firewalls like Lockdown aren’t that effective against adversarial attacks because of the way iOS processes network connections. DNSCloak only deals with DNS. It doesn’t route the underlying IP addresses. So it doesn’t do much for privacy. Where as a VPN, routes both. Mullvad’s a great choice btw.

Generate a configuration file A more common issue I've been encountering on iOS is that if I'm on wifi with Mullvad, whether using the official app or an OpenVPN connection, it will work for a while and then kick me off wifi.
